LadyGaga在接受采訪時稱，《Judas》的内容充滿了說教意味，歌曲的内容是關于一個女人一次又一次錯誤地愛上錯誤的男人。
歌曲的創作靈感源自背叛LadyGaga的前男友，Gaga想把她的前男友比作背叛耶稣的猶大。而“猶大”來源于聖經，所以歌曲中有包含宗教内容的元素。
Gaga認為這首歌的含義是自己雖然朝着光亮的部分走，但一方面又與背後的惡魔親近，用來表達自己錯愛的經曆。
