劇情簡介

大偵探福爾摩斯（小羅伯特·唐尼 Robert Downer Jr. 飾）即使在置人于死地之時也異常的邏輯清晰，然而辦案時有條不紊的他在私底下的生活中簡直就是個“怪胎”，至少在他的助手華生醫生（裘德·洛 Jude Law飾）眼中他是這樣一個人。他們親手繩之以法的“黑暗巫師”布萊克大人（馬克·斯特朗 Mark Strong 飾）在臨死前說死亡即是開始，随後艾琳·艾德勒（瑞秋·麥克亞當斯 Rachel McAdams 飾）出現在他的身邊要他幫忙找個失蹤的人，而她身邊有個影子般可怕人物。坊間傳說黑暗巫師已經複活，他的墓地遭到破壞，而躺在棺材裡的人另有其人。又到了大偵探福爾摩斯出馬的時候了，然而調查過程從一開始就險象環生，助手華生醫生在調查中更是險些喪命，福爾摩斯也陷入連串的迷團之中。 本片根據著名同名漫畫改編，作者萊昂納爾·威格拉姆（Lionel Wigram）。
