創作背景
該曲自誕生後，獻唱過此曲的歌手，包括Eric Patrick Clapton、EttaJames、Cream樂隊等。吉克隽逸為了演繹出該曲獨特的風格，在錄制前，反複研究了該曲此前的版本，尋找發聲的感覺。因為準備的很充分，所以在第一天的錄制過程中，吉克隽逸就演唱了多個版本，令歌曲監制袁惟仁滿意。雖然已經順利錄制完畢，但是吉克隽逸認為可以更好，因此又錄唱了幾次。

繼《彩色的黑》、《即刻出發》、《一首心歌》之後，吉克隽逸全新單曲《spoonful》也終于問世。與之前三首作品不同的是，《spoonful》是一首全英文單曲。這首曾經被《滾石》雜志被評選為“史上最佳500首歌曲”的經典之作，衆多在國際樂壇上享譽盛名的歌手或者樂也隊都曾演唱過。而吉克隽逸作為當下華語樂壇最具影響力的歌手之一，她自然渾厚的嗓音演繹這樣一首經典之作，既有中國的獨特韻味，又不乏歐美大氣磅礴的灑脫之風。
