劉德華非常喜愛這首歌曲，表示：“很久沒有唱英文歌，這首英文歌蠻特别的，和以前的歌都不大一樣，英文歌詞本來也比較有難度，既然在片中唱了，就希望鞏俐小姐能喜歡！”《SLIP AWAY》被劉德華稱為“一半寫實一半寫意”，“這首歌的大緻情景是我心底藏着秘密，很想向鞏俐坦白，想道歉，但就是鼓不起勇氣，所以這首歌隻是寫給她的。”劉德華表示。而他表示最喜歡的一句歌詞是：“IF I COULD I WOULD CHANGE MYYESTERDAY I WOULD LISTEN TO MY HEART(如果可以改變昨天，我願意遵從心的旨意)。”

歌手簡介
劉德華，祖籍廣東江門市，1961年9月27日出生于香港新界，是香港著名藝人，香港太平紳士，中國殘疾人福利基金會副理事長。曾獲香港榮譽勳章，大中華地區樂壇和影壇巨星，華人娛樂圈的代表人物之一。劉德華是娛樂圈影、視、歌多栖發展的代表之一：作為歌手，他是90年代香港樂壇“四大天王”之一，吉尼斯世界紀錄大全中獲獎最多的香港歌手，作為演員，他曾三次獲得香港電影金像獎最佳男主角，2004年憑借《無間道III》獲得台灣金馬獎最佳男主角，目前參與演出的電影已經超過100部。現任映藝音樂的老闆，是亞洲新星導演計劃的發起人。
