2005年9月28日，他的同名專輯《Darin》一經發行就登上了瑞典排行榜冠軍，而這首《Be What U Wanna Be》正是來自這樣一張備受矚目的專輯。2006年12月，Darin Zanyar又重拳出擊，推出全新專輯《Break The News》，同樣受到了歌迷的追捧。
在網絡上流傳的英文歌曲《Peerless》真名叫做《Be What U Wanna Be》，原唱是瑞典歌手Darin Zanyar。
因為最初上傳這首歌到網絡上的人，是天涯論壇音樂版版主，他的名字叫peerless。由于該版主上傳時沒有透露歌曲信息，于是衆多的轉載者就誤将他的名字作為歌名了。

歌手簡介
Darin，瑞典歌手。代表作品有《Step Up》《B What U Wanna B》等。出道後曾與RedOne、Max Martin等人合作。他是個全能音樂人，不僅自己唱歌，而且還為其他歌手寫歌曲。在已經發行的五張專輯中，有四張是冠軍專輯。2013年1月30日發行自己的個人第六張專輯《EXIT》。
