乐队简介
1999年，PAIN脱离N.B唱片公司与另一家唱片公司STOCKHOLM RECORDS合作发行了专辑《Rebirth》[重生]大获成功（被评为 当年的年度金唱片），为其中的单曲《End Of The Line》所拍摄的MV在很多国家电视台的音乐频道中播放，使得越来越多的金属乐迷开始关注这支乐队，关注他们的音乐动向，其中大部分乐迷都是从这张专辑开始认识或者说注意PAIN的，甚至以为这张专辑是他们发表的第一张正式作品。
实早在1996年，PAIN就与德国NUCLEAR BLAST唱片公司合作发表了他们的首张同名专辑[那一年正是Hypocrisy成立10周年，同年该乐队的第七张正式专辑问世]，但可能是由于Peter当时对自己新乐队的音乐走向还没有明确的认知，因此专辑中的作品显得过于平淡，缺乏特点，并没有给乐迷留下什么深刻印象。
《Rebirth》发表后的一段时间里，Peter并没有很快着手PAIN新专辑的制作，而是将更多的精力倾注在帮助其他乐队制作新专辑上，包括 DESTRUCTION，DIMMU BORGIR，IMMORTAL，DARK FUNERAL等多支乐队在内的许多优秀专辑都陆续在Peter经营的 ABYSS STUDIO中沥炼后出炉[这个在圈内极富盛名的录音工作室其前身是Parlby当地的一家精神病院，后被Peter买下改建为工作室，ABYSS STUDIO自成立后，先后有100余张各色专辑在此制作完成。
2002年1月，沉寂了近3年的PAIN终于浮出水面，发表了他们的第三张正式录音室专辑《Nothing Remains The Same》[面目全非]，其中的单曲《Shut Your Mouth》[关掉你的嘴]很快登上排行榜，PAIN还特地再次邀请到曾经有过多次合作的音乐制片人Mikeadelica为他们指导该单曲MV的拍摄工作，这首歌的VIDEO拍摄很有意思，内容表现一架UFO登陆地球，降落在Peter家屋外，惊醒了午夜沉睡的Peter，飞船内的外星人居然入侵到Peter家中，并反客为主对Peter推推搡搡，指指点点。
于是Peter报警，但官方并没有对此事予以足够的重视。没想到在金属乐坛混迹了这么长时间，Peter至今还是‘童心未泯’，这首MV被副赠在专辑中。专辑获得了比以往两张专辑更好的评价，Peter仍然包揽了专辑中所有最主要的工作，演唱、吉他、创作、编曲、后期制作等等，专辑中的作品更多的融入了工业及电子舞曲等时尚的音乐元素，金属音乐元素正在逐步的消减退化，毫不客气的讲，PAIN的音乐已经完全的脱离了正统的金属音乐模式，用个金属迷都很忌讳的的词就是变得很Commercial[商业化]了。
Peter称自己在PAIN中所尝试的音乐类型是Techno-Metal的确，在PAIN的音乐中合成器所营造的音乐氛围构建了整部音乐最主要的骨架，只有不时穿插在其中的厚重而强劲吉他Riff，Solo还隐约让你体会到几丝金属音乐的味道（更多的乐迷喜欢将PAIN的音乐称作工业流行金属〈Industrial Pop Metal〉。
其实从公平的角度讲，抛开Hypocrisy给我们造成的深刻印象，单就PAIN的音乐，其可听性还是很强的，Peter作为不可多得的金属音乐奇才，对于金属音乐的各个层面，各个角度都充满着无限的好奇与向往，他不希望自己的音乐总是墨守成规，更不喜欢总是一味的不断重复以往的音乐风格，其实熟 Hypocrisy的乐迷，通过该乐队成长过程中音乐模式的变更，就应该有所体会，Peter希望尝试更多的在自己的音乐中加入不同的音乐素材，与自己以前所驾驭的音乐模式磨合，并不断的在其中吸取经验，拓宽自己的音乐视野，从而使自己的音乐可以表现更多更复杂的思想理念。
通过 《Nothing Remains The Same》，我们可以感受到PAIN的音乐逐步转向成熟，其中有很多不错的曲目可以推荐给大家，如《Just hate me》[憎恨我]，《Injected Paradise》[坠入天堂]，《Fade Away》[褪色]等，还有那首Peter与另一位金属乐大师级人物Dan Swano共同合作翻唱The Beatles的作品《Eleanor Rigby》。专辑封面设计也受到乐迷的赞赏(由来自奥地利的资深视觉设计师Joachim Luetke为Peter亲自操刀，专辑封面在发表前两天才最终决定)，装扮成末世天使的Peter抑郁的远望，他内心中存留着怎样的痛苦，在PAIN的音乐中将注释给你。
