背景
The Script的主唱Danny O'Donoghue第一次遇見will.i.am的時候，兩人都在“英國之聲”擔任評委。O'Donoghue說：“當時我在後台給will.i.am放了一些音樂樣本，will就問我能否将這首歌放在他的新專輯中，因為這就是他一直想要的。我沒有同意，這首歌是我們的主打歌。但我問他能否參與這首歌的演唱，他同意了，于是我們預定好錄音的時間。
問題是，will要麼遲到要麼就不來了，所以嘗試了四次才記錄好他的演唱部分。最後我們花了十五分鐘在will的酒店房間将歌曲的各部分合好，這是一個經典的對唱。”接着Danny O'Donoghue補充道：“然後我們花了一個半小時在錄音棚錄好了整首歌曲。我以為will會幫這首歌編曲，沒想到他竟對我和Mark說,你們快去編曲。
在合作的過程中，我們嘗試去把這首歌演唱的很酷。我們聽見他唱了我們部分的歌詞，但我們不知道他要幹什麼？我們很擔心他會帶走我們的原創歌曲，但是他隻是去唱我們的歌詞而已。

《Hall of Fame》的MV是由索尼娛樂英國有限公司制作的，其中歌詞版MV發行于2012年7月24日，而官方MV是在8月19日通過樂隊的官方網站發布的。MV的主角是一個有抱負的拳擊手和一個正在訓練的聾芭蕾舞者。
