歌曲由來
士兵之歌（Soldiers Song）全文包含3個小段和一節副歌。它的詞作者是Peadar Kearney，曲作者是Peader Kearney和Patrick Heeney。1916年由在G.P.O的起義軍唱出，因此出名。1926年，其中的副歌被正式采用作為愛爾蘭國歌。國歌的一段（由最後5小節前的4小節組成）也代表向總統緻敬（Presidential Salute）。
Amhrán na bhFiann，或稱《戰士之歌》，是愛爾蘭共和國的國歌。這首國歌最早是由Peadar Kearney于1907年用英文寫成，其愛爾蘭文歌詞由Liam óRinn完成。1926年，這首歌成為官方國歌。
